Constance Corry, BSc (Hons) Podiatry
Qualification & Education
Constance is a qualified podiatrist who obtained her BSc in podiatry from NUI Galway's school of podiatry.
Constance has clinical experience obtained in the HSE clinic in Merlin Park, as part of that training.
This involved working with high risk and often vulnerable patients, undertaking routine care (corns, verruca, fungal nails, athlete's foot), treating musculoskeletal problems, making and prescribing orthotics, working with sportspeople, assessing people with diabetes for the changes associated with that disease, and working on both treating problems and preventing further issues using changes people can make themselves.
Experience
Constance was involved in testing of the Ipswich Touch Test in St James' hospital and a readability analysis of patient information leaflets and undertook an audit within Merlin Park as her thesis. She has a strong interest in science-based care, auditing practice, and in improving the quality of care that patients receive and in routine care, diabetes assessments, and in the various arthritic disorders.
