Qualification & Education
Jade is a fully qualified Podiatrist with current membership of the SCPI (Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists of Ireland). Jade received her degree in podiatry from the university of Plymouth following a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology. Since qualifying she has worked in a number of private practices and also ran her own clinic for a year. In this time she has gained experience in Palliative foot care treatment (corns, callous, verruca), biomechanical assessment and Computer Aided Gait Analysis, prescribing functional foot orthotics with Langer and Everflex, administrating local anaesthetic and nail surgery.
In addition Jade has worked in a large Orthopaedic Hospital as the sole podiatrist working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of physiotherapy, podiatric surgeons, occupational therapy and practice nurses. She gained valuable experience in palliative care in rehabilitation wards, nail surgery and post-operative treatment, ulcer care in high dependency units, rheumatic care and prescribing bespoke footwear and had the opportunity to work alongside an orthopaedic surgeon in surgery assessment of podiatric abnormalities such as hallux valgus, bunions and rheumatic deformities.
Jade enjoys all aspects of her profession but has a special interest in the Diabetic Foot and Diabetic Footcare.
