Sean Quigley, BSc (Hons) Podiatry
Qualification & Education
Seán qualified from National University of Ireland, Galway’s School of Podiatric Medicine and is a current member of the SCPI (The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists of Ireland). He regularly attends medical conferences and training courses to learn the latest techniques and skills to better patient outcomes in all areas of podiatry.
Seán trained in the custom-made podiatry facility at Merlin Park Podiatry Clinic and undertook external placements in a variety of clinical settings both within the HSE and private practice. He gained experience in assessment and management in all aspects of Podiatry: diabetes, sports injuries, biomechanical assessment and MSK, high-risk wound care, rheumatology, nail surgery, vascular and neurological assessment and routine care.
Seán’s undergraduate dissertation involved applying podiatric knowledge to optimising performance in cyclists, and was presented at the 3rd Transatlantic Podiatric Medicine conference in early 2017.
Seán loves his job and all aspects of podiatry and has a keen interest in biomechanics and management of the diabetic foot.
