Maya Papin Lucey, BSc (Hons) Podiatry, SCPI
Qualification & Education
Maya is a fully qualified podiatrist and member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists of Ireland (SCPI) and CORU, Ireland’s multi-profession health and social care regulator. Maya also holds an Honours degree in Podiatric Medicine from NUI Galway.
Experience
Maya has a special interest in biomechanics, orthotic prescription, diabetic wound care and general patient education on how to optimise their foot health. She has volunteer experience working as part of a mobile medical unit in Tanzania, focusing on the management of various wounds and dermatological pathologies.
Interests
Maya is also a qualified Ashtanga yoga instructor and has a strong interest in using different forms of natural movement to optimise not just foot health, but overall health. She places a strong emphasis on patient education to ensure the patient feels empowered to make their foot health a priority.
