Qualification & Education

Robert is a registered podiatrist with current membership with The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists of Ireland (SCPI). He received his BSc (Hons) Podiatry from The National University of Galway, Ireland.

Experience

Robert has experience in all areas of podiatry having worked in both HSE and private practice environments. As part of his Podiatry training, Robert has completed 1000 clinical hours at Merlin Park Podiatry Clinic, Galway. Here he developed skills and knowledge in areas including diabetes, musculoskeletal, vascular podiatric care and nail surgery. He has gained experience in various clinics including Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda, Vascular Outpatient Department Galway, Orthopaedic clinics and abroad at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine & Metropolitan Hospital NYC.

Interests

Robert has a huge interest in athletics and has an understanding of the demand sport places on the body. This interest led him to carry out his research dissertation in the area of sports and MSK. Robert has a particular interest in sports injuries, orthotic prescriptions and biomechanics of the lower limb. He is passionate for providing patients with a high standard of care and his ambition for continuous professional development enables him to provide patients with the most-up-to date treatments.
