Aisling Farrell, BSc (Hons) Podiatry, MSCPI
Qualification & Education
Aisling received her BSc Hons degree in Podiatry from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Aisling is a fully qualified podiatrist with current membership of the SCPI (Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists of Ireland). Throughout her time at University Aisling studied routine care of the foot and leg to progress to high risk care of foot and leg ulcerations and musculoskletal deformities of the foot and leg.
Aisling actively participates in Continuous Professional Development and is committed to providing the best foot care for her patients. Aisling undertook her core training at Merlin Park Podiatry Clinic, Galway where she was exposed to a wide variety of clinics and patient groups. These clinics included routine care, vascular and neurological assessments, biomechanical assessments, paediatric clinics, rheumatology clinics, footwear provision and wound care which included the management of complex patients. In her final year of College Aisling was elected as an ambassador for Podiatry and received the University scholarship where she travelled to New York to study in the first ever school of Podiatry. Since then Aisling has managed a private practice in Meath and has also worked privately in some very busy North Dublin city clinics.
Aisling enjoys all aspects of her work but takes a keen interest in biomechanics and sports related injuries of the leg and foot. Aisling is currently undertaking a Masters at Staffordshire University in England to further advance this knowledge and hopes by doing so can provide her patients with optimal care.
